Miracle at the Met
Posted on January 13th, 2011
I was at this game (Dec. 14, 1980) at the old Metropolitan Stadium, barely ten years old, with my dad. This easily was the most influential moment of my childhood. The Vikings were losing 23-9 in the fourth quarter. This is the final two plays of an amazing comeback. When all appears lost and hopeless, I imagine myself back at this game, begging my dad to stay, believing against hope that the Vikes could come back, and then witnessing the final miracle: Tommy Kramer (“Two-Minute Tommy”) to Ahmad Rashad. A thing of beauty.

An “uncle Rico” moment, no? LOL
The Vikes will be back someday. Perhaps they’ll snag a good qb. If they can do that, they have a pretty good surrounding cast.
My Bengals are horrible as usual with no prospect for future improvement. So be thankful you are a Vikes fan.
