Contraception? $9 per month. First Amendment? Priceless.

Well, now we know it’s absolutely, positively not about the money. When President Harrison was called to testify before Congress, the minority was upset that a Georgetown student, Sandra Fluke, was not allowed to testify. (They hadn’t filed the request on time.) Nancy Pelosi recently held a hearing with one witness: Sandra Fluke. Fluke testified that contraception costs a female student at Georgetown around $3,000 per annum. (And she wants you to buy it for her.) But The Weekly Standard reports that the pharmacy at the nearby Target store sells oral contraceptives at $9 for a month’s supply. “That’s the price without insurance,” the Target employee said.
Why is the left pushing the Mandate so hard? It’s not the money.
