What’s the best thing you can do for your pastor?

Stephen Altrogge answers that question here. He’s spot on:
Your pastor desperately needs your prayers. I desperately need the prayers of the people in my church. The best thing that a person can do for me is pray on my behalf.

Is it helpful for you to be told and reminded that your parishioners are praying for you? Or is it better if they pray without mentioning it to you?
Told, and told, and told again. And then maybe again.
At least for me. When the despair sets in, all too frequently, it’s a great comfort to know that others are interceding on my behalf.
Thanks. That’s good to know. (By the way, you are one of the ones I frequently pray for when I get to the part in the litany “to keep all pastors and ministers in the true knowledge and understanding of Your word and in holiness of life…” But I betcha your own people pray for you with much more fervency than us outsiders.)
No, thank you!
